Conferring in the middle night morn of not wake ersatz sleep
With Divine Mother, as usual
I was as vast as the universe
Containing multitudes!
Containing I felt all the love which is love
The love in every woman
And I love every woman!
The part of whom, I mean, that is authentic goodness
The tender part I receive as a child
That survives in all no matter how
Abusive or abused the world has conditioned them to be
In cold harsh cruelty of control
In all sustained conditional conditionality
In a predictable practicality of predictability
You can rely upon
The physicality of the all-too-material world, that is.
Multitudes! Multitudes of love cascading into gratitude!
And the love hidden in males too, for that matter
Though this is so much more severely fractured and divided
Fragmented and guarded with a ferocity of meanness
Staid adherence to a poorly-signaled standard, creed or code
Meant failure explained in condescending contradiction doctrine
Cold, a moraine under a glacier of mistrust and misunderstanding
Hard herd heard. Unseen
Except the glimmer in the ones like broken doors
That don’t close all the way
And stay always in some broken state ever ajar a bit
A glimmer of light ever shows
An old-fashioned joy
Multitudes! Multitudes of love cascading into gratitude!
And with these multitudes; the vast universe
Me. Me and the universe as one
I went into a dream
A subatomic dream
And the subatomic microcosm contained the universe all!
Multitudes all!
Big big small small
The universe all!
Multitudes all!
So dream big in this subatomic way
you eternal youth of ever now!
